Priya Kootukari (poem) by Jisni T M, I Chemistry

Writing a poem is a big pain (poem) by Alisha Prasad, I English

Writing a poem is a big pain

Opening all door of my brain
I sat for hours and hours in rain
All my imaginations began to drain
Writing a poem is a big pain

On completing a poem it was a relief,
My heart like a fluttering leaf,
Gone was the sweat and strain,
And gone was the grief and pain…

Hope it is a cute, though it is brief
That all would enjoy it is my belief…
But alas! The poem has no title
My imagination began to rattle.

It was like frighting a lost battle,
My mind’s grazing all over like
At last a title stuck my brain,
“Writing a poem is a big pain.”

God Calling!? (Book Review) by Indulekha M, I English

God Calling!?

Reading Chethan Bhagat’s novel “One night @ the call center” was completely different experience. This book stood apart from all his other novels.  The story begin with overnight train journey where the writer met a young beautiful girl. She offered to tell him a story with a condition that he make that into his second novel.

The story is about six people working in a call center, set in one night. They face a huge trouble and they get a phone call from GOD!  The god made them realise what they wanted in their lifeand what they have to change in them in order to get it. Their life takes a huge U-turn after the phone call.

And finally when the story finishes the authors head began to spin, his whole body shook and found it difficult to balance. A bright sunlight entered the compartment in one stroke

So who do you think the girl would be!?

A Drop of Rain (poem) by Anila Paul C, I English

A Drop of Rain

Enjoyed the long drive….
The first drop of rain
Then there was a heavy down pour
I stretched my hands for more
But got none…
Suddenly I realised…

There were no dark clouds
       No sign of rain
My hands were dry
But my cheeks were still wet
Then I realised
It was not rain
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oh my god!!!
I was crying….

Life (poem) by Neethu K K, I Chemistry

Life

Once I did a great mistake
That can be never changed
I did it for a purpose
There isn’t a life without mistakes
There isn’t a life without sorrows
Through experiences we realise
What life is??
How can we live happily??

I want to live like a bird and
Fly through the sky of success

I want to enjoy the freedom of life

Sorrowful Bird (poem) by Fariyal Hassan, II English

Sorrowful Bird

I sit beside my window here
Staring at the empty blue sky
Wondering how it would be like
To soar freely in the space so high
I see birds and insects
Thawing in their world, to be the first

Some birds seem to be teasing me
But alas one bird is watching me
It seems to express its sorrow
Oh! The bird too is in solitude
The queen of the sky what is it that beholds you?
In a time it fell down at my feet painfully
For it was shot by an arrow
And was quivering in pain at its sorrow

The Shadow (poem) by Rinni Johnson, II English

The Shadow

In the darkness of the night
A dark figure runs by my side
It follows me where ever I go
From wall to wall and door to door

In the morning I searched a lot,
On the walls and on the doors
Still the dark figure doesn’t arrive
However hard I try

Next night it came again
The dark figure once again
I keenly looked to find it out
And saw that it was My Shadow
