Sorrowful Bird (poem) by Fariyal Hassan, II English

Sorrowful Bird

I sit beside my window here
Staring at the empty blue sky
Wondering how it would be like
To soar freely in the space so high
I see birds and insects
Thawing in their world, to be the first

Some birds seem to be teasing me
But alas one bird is watching me
It seems to express its sorrow
Oh! The bird too is in solitude
The queen of the sky what is it that beholds you?
In a time it fell down at my feet painfully
For it was shot by an arrow
And was quivering in pain at its sorrow

By,
Fariyal Hassan
